Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-08-26
This privacy policy explains how VšĮ Urbanistinio Šokio Teatras „Low Air“ (company code 302888894, Kaukysos g. 18-608, LT-11342 Vilnius, Lithuania, email info@lowair.lt) handles personal data in connection with the Urban Essentials festival and the website urbanessentials.lt.
Low Air is the data controller. We process data lawfully, fairly and transparently, for clearly defined purposes, and we do not process it in ways incompatible with those purposes.
1. What we collect
When you register for festival activities (the registration form on this site): first name, surname, email address, phone number, date of birth, the event you chose, the workshop days and classes you chose, the language you registered in, the time of registration and a consent marker.
When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address.
Automatically, as you browse: a language cookie (necessary for the site to work in your chosen language); server log entries; and, with your consent, statistics about which pages get read and whether a registration form was completed (only the event, the language and the registration type are recorded — never anything you typed). More in the cookie policy.
Registration for festival activities is free, so we do not collect or process any payment card or bank account details.
2. Why we collect it, and on what basis
- To run the festival — to build participant lists, know how many people will be in a room, and contact you about changes. Basis: performance of a contract with you and steps taken before entering into it.
- To know who needs guardian consent — this is why we ask for a date of birth. Basis: legitimate interest in the safety of minors.
- For the newsletter — only if you asked for it. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- For website statistics — to understand which pages are useful and which ones lead to a registration. Basis: your consent, given in the cookie banner.
- To protect our forms from automated submissions. Basis: legitimate interest in protecting our systems.
- To document the festival — photographs and video. Basis: legitimate interest in presenting our work; see section 8.
3. How long we keep it
- Registration data — 12 months after the festival ends, then deleted or anonymised.
- Newsletter address — until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email or by writing to us.
- Technical website logs — 12 months.
- Correspondence with us — 12 months from the last message.
- Statistics data — for the period set in Google Analytics, no longer than 14 months.
We keep data longer only where the law requires it.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not disclose it to third parties, except to the service providers without which the website and registration would not work:
- UAB „Interneto vizija“ (serveriai.lt) — website hosting and email. Lithuania.
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC — Google Sheets and Apps Script, where registration data lands, and Google Analytics (with consent only).
- Cloudflare, Inc. — Turnstile protection against automated submissions.
We also disclose data where the law requires it, or where you have given us your consent.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of our providers (Google, Cloudflare) operate outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. In those cases data is transferred under the safeguards set out in the GDPR — the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- have it corrected;
- have it erased;
- restrict how it is processed;
- data portability;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw consent at any time — which does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Write to info@lowair.lt. We answer within 30 calendar days.
If you believe we are handling your data improperly, you may complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (L. Sapiegos g. 17, LT-10312 Vilnius, tel. +370 5 271 2804, ada@ada.lt).
7. Data of minors
People under 18 take part in this festival.
We process the data of anyone under 16 only with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are under 16, you should not give us your data without that consent. If we learn that data was submitted without it, we delete it immediately.
Separately: taking part in festival activities under the age of 18 requires a parent’s or guardian’s consent. That is precisely why we ask for a date of birth at registration — so we know who to contact before the festival. More in the house rules.
8. Photography and filming
An official photographer and videographer work during the festival. We use the material to present the festival — on the website, on social media and in other communication. Basis: legitimate interest in presenting our work.
If you would rather not be photographed, tell the photographer or the crew. If you want a specific photo or recording of you taken down, write to info@lowair.lt and we will do it.
9. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access control, a limited circle of people with access, and careful choice of providers.
To protect the registration forms from automated submissions we use Cloudflare Turnstile — when a form loads, your IP address and technical browser data are processed by Cloudflare, Inc. More in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
No method of transmitting data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
10. Cookies
Which cookies we use, what they are for and how to change your choice — see the cookie policy. You can change your consent at any time through the cookie banner.
11. External links
This site links to other websites — partners, ticket sellers, social networks. They have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for the data they collect. Read their policies before giving them your data.
12. Changes and contact
We review this policy and update it when needed. The date at the top of this page shows when that last happened.
